OTTUMWA — Amanda Jean Baum Hollander, 37, of Clive, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 1:20 p.m. July 3, 2013 at Ridgewood Nursing & Rehab Center.
She was born Nov. 10, 1975, in Ottumwa to Denny and Sally Jean Bunten Baum.
She was a 1994 graduate of Ottumwa High School and a graduate of Indian Hills Community College.
Mandy loved spending time with her beautiful daughter, Ella. She enjoyed a good laugh, time spent with friends and family and great music. She was an example of strength as she overcame many obstacles in her short life.
Surviving is her daughter, Ella Pearl Hollander of Des Moines; fiancée, Ben Eddleman of Clive; father and stepmother, Denny and Vicki Baum of Ottumwa; a sister, Angie (Joe) Baum-Smith of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Phillip (Ashley) and Bryan Baum, both of Ottumwa; nieces and nephew, Grant and Sally Smith, and Kendyl Baum; and a stepfather John McNulty of Coralville.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Bunten McNulty.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jesse Elkins officiating. Burial will be in Drakesville Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 5-7 p.m. this evening.
