BLOOMFIELD — Dorothy Frances Burrows, 91, of Davis County, died June 11, 2013, at the Bloomfield Care Center.

She was born April 8, 1922, in Davis County to Howard Lee and Victoria Caroline “Carrie” Dyer Clark. She married Charles Herman Burrows on Jan. 1, 1939, in Lancaster, Mo. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1991. She was a farm wife and homemaker. She also raised and sold canaries and made wedding cakes. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables and crocheting. Dorothy devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Midway Calvary Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Gene Leon (Glenda) Burrows of Davis County; four daughters, Delores Faye Smith of Drakesville, Rosalie Mae Blew of Davis County, Janet Kay (Charles) Hining of Swisher, Kathryn Rae (Ted) Harbour of Ottumwa; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; two brothers, Darrell Robert (Verna) Clark of Ottumwa and Donald Lee Clark of Davis County; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Craig Herman Burrows; and a brother, Delbert Sherman Clark.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; Pastor Harold Baker officiating. Burial will be at the Kingdom Cemetery in Davis County.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday with the family present to greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
