ELDON — Glen L. Dye, 91, formerly of Eldon, died January 22, 2013 in Napoleon, OH.

He was born March 23, 1921in New Sharon to Alvah W. and Muriel Mildred Reneker. He married Helen Ramsey on December 21, 1944 in Oklahoma. She preceded him in death June 28, 1956. He married Marcella Millhouse on May 11, 1957 in Ottumwa. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2000.

Glen was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.

He worked for John Deere Ottumwa works for 37 1/2 years, retiring in experimental in 1983.

He was a member of Pennsylvania Ave. Free Methodist Church.

Surviving are five daughters, Cheryl A. (Don) Reynolds of Napoleon, OH a Tamara L. LaRue of Meadowview, VA, Shelby J. Fisher of Statesville, NC, Angela D. Ades of Mason City and Tracy Jo Dye of Ottumwa; five sons, Richard A. Dye of Eldon, Glen Dean Dye, Mark W. Dye, Chris A. Dye all of Ottumwa and Jerry L. Dye of North English; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marjorie Lowes of San Antonio, TX.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Bryan L. Dye and Steven Millhouse; a sister, Delma and an infant brother, Clarence Orval.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Maurice Overturf officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion.

Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Sunday with the family present from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
