OTTUMWA — Robert W. Fellows, 90, of 421 N. Sheridan Ave., died Nov. 20, 2013 at home.
He was born June 8, 1923, in rural Keosauqua to Fred D. and Elizabeth Hope Stewart Fellows and married Wyona Pearson March 9, 1943. She died Aug. 25, 1988. Robert graduated from Douds High School in 1940, attended Lane Technical Institute in Chicago and worked as a tool and die maker for a furnace manufacturer in Chicago, where the family lived for many years. He and his wife moved to Englewood, Fla., in 1985, and he moved to Ottumwa in 2001.
Surviving are a son, Edward Fellows (Elizabeth) of Ottumwa; a daughter, Sandra Atwood (Paul)of Carbondale, Ill.; six granddaughters; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances McDaniel and Josephine Miller; and a brother, Paul Fellows.
In accord with his wishes, his body has been cremated. Private graveside services and burial of cremains will be in Leando Cemetery, Douds.
