---- — TROY — Vivian Lois Jones, 92, of Bloo-mfield, died April 13, 2013, at the Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
She was born April 3, 1921, in Davis County to John Alfred and Ida M. Horn Gravett. She married Hunter Jones Feb. 8, 1946, in Pulaski. He preceded her in death April 7, 2003. She was a county school teacher, a school bus driver and a homemaker. Lois was an incorporator of the Troy Academy and the Historical Society. She was active in Band Boosters, was a Girl Scout leader, 4-H leader, a charter member of the Troy Mother’s Club and the Davis County Genealogical Society, and was also a member of the Troy Rebekah Lodge. She was affiliated with the Troy United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, James A. Jones of West Des Moines; four daughters, Anna Marie (Andy) Anderson of Adel Patsy J. (Ralph) Roberts of Oskaloosa, Susan Kay (Ed) Foy and Cherly “Cheri” Lynn (Bruce) Porter, both of Indianola; seven grandchildren, Dawn Van Berkum, Cory Anderson, Shane Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Taylor Foy, Angela Besco and Nathan Porter; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Foy; three brothers, Lester, Bernard and Beulas Gravett; and a sister, Velma Wimp.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Pastor Jack Jackson officiating. Burial will be at the Troy Cemetery in Troy.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m.
Memorials have been established to the Troy United Methodist Church and to the Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
