OTTUMWA — Kenneth J. Anderson, 76, of Lancaster, Mo., formerly of Ottumwa, died at 4:13 p.m. January 13, 2014, at his home.
He was born May 28, 1937, in Ottumwa to C. Kenneth and Margaret Ennis Anderson. He married Carolyn Lay on February 27, 1960.
A 1955 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Kenneth had worked at John Morrell & Co., Wausau Homes and Hormel. In 1987, he transferred to Oklahoma City, Okla., with Hormel. After retiring in 2002, he moved to southern Missouri and then moved to Lancaster, Mo., in 2011.
He was a member of the Vintage Cruisers Car Club.
Surviving are his wife, Carolyn; two daughters, Brenda (John) Wynn and Beth Anderson, both of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, Katie Wynn of Springfield, La., and Riley Wynn of Ottumwa; a brother, David (Sharon) Anderson of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
His body has been cremated.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
