LOVILIA — Cheryl Ann Allison, 64, of Lovilia, passed away June 29, 2013 at Pella Comfort Hospice House.
Cheryl was born on Sept. 3, 1948 in Knoxville to Ralph and Darlene (Courtney) Kirtley. She married Ronnie Allison on Nov. 26, 1965 in Lovilia. They were blessed with two children, Angela and Sarah. Cheryl was a first responder for the Lovilia Fire and Rescue for many years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Allison of Lovilia; children, Angela (Jeff) Koebka of Ottumwa, Sarah (Tim) Ritter of Nevada; four grandchildren, Alison and Jeffrey Koebke, Rebekah and Jacob Ritter; one sister, Cindy (Dan) Carlson of Knoxville; two nephews and their wives and one great niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, LeRoy Kirtley; and one nephew Chris Kirtley.
Visitation will be held at Sinnott Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lovilia Tuesday, opening to the public at 1 p.m. and the family will be present from 6-8 pm Tuesday evening. No services will be held, and private family burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to American Cancer Society or to the Pella Comfort Hospice House and left in the care of the Sinnott-Pierschbacher Funeral Home, 1904 E. Ave North, Lovilia, Iowa 50150.
