Imogene Sloan, 83, Bloomfield

BLOOMFIELD — Imogene Arlene Sloan, 83, of Bloomfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior Oct. 27, 2012, at Davis County Hospital Long Term Care. 

She was born June 27, 1929, in Ottumwa to Harry and Blanche Armstrong Skinner. She married Milo Duane Sloan Sept. 27, 1959, in Kahoka, Mo. Imogene was a homemaker and member of the Word of Life Church in Bloomfield.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Bernie and Kenny Redmond, both of Knoxville, and Michael (Denise) Sloan of Drakesville; a daughter, Sheila (Brian) Birchmier of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Nelson of New Iberia, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nancy Woodard; and a brother, Harold Skinner.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield; with Pastor Jerry Lanferman officiating. Burial will be at the Breeding Cemetery in Davis County. 

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present to greet friends from 4-6 p.m. 

A memorial has been established to Hospice of Davis and Wapello Counties.
