OTTUMWA — Mary Margaret Bradley, 87, formerly of 12467 55th St., died at 8:15 a.m. July 29, 2013, at The Good Samaritan Society-Ottumwa.
She was born October 19, 1925, in Ottumwa to Leo and Catherine Wrenn Murray. She married Lyle R. Bradley on April 30, 1949. He preceded her in death on December 5, 2005.
A 1943 graduate of St. Joseph Academy, Mary had worked at John Morrell & Co. for 19 years.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society.
Mary especially enjoyed family and friends get togethers. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis (Patricia) Bradley and Stephen Bradley both of Ottumwa; two daughters, Patricia (Matt) Scott of Ankeny and Theresa (Steven) Schleisman of Carroll; six grandchildren, Nicole, Shane, Tyler, Trevor, Aaron and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Ryder; a brother, James (Margaret) Murray of Urbandale.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Catherine Murray; three brothers, Leo Jr., William and Patrick Murray; and a sister, Kathleen "Kay" Bunnell.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hilgendorf presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A Christian Wake will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
