OTTUMWA — Patricia A “Pat” Dudley, 63, of 1446 Casa Blanca, died at 8:45 a.m. May 2, 2013 at Hospice House in Ottumwa.
She was born July 18, 1949 in Burlington to Henry J. and Katherine M. Donlan Thomson. She married Michael G. Dudley on July 27, 1968.
A 1967 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Pat lived in Burlington from 1968-71, returning to Ottumwa in 1973. She earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Buena Vista University.
Pat was a machinist for 32 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 2006. She also worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block for over 20 years.
She enjoyed camping and crocheting. Pat crocheted lap afghans which she donated to the McCreery Cancer Center.
Surviving is her husband, Mike; two daughters, Mikki Dudley of Ottumwa and Lisa (Adam) Schaefer of Burlington; three grandsons, Brenden Tarrence, Keaton Tarrence and Ian Taylor; two step-grandchildren, Austinn and Karli Schaefer; a brother, Robert J. (Betty) Thomson of Ottumwa; and her dachshund, Annie.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her stillborn twin brother, Michael.
Private graveside services and burial will be held at Shaul Cemetery with Father Bernie Weir officiating.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday.
