---- — DELTA — LaVon Mae Fowler, 93, of Cornelius, formerly of Delta, died Aug. 14, 2013, at her home with her husband of 65 years by her side.

She was born Jan. 12, 1920, near Knoxville. The daughter of Raymond and Lota Cannon Deitrick, she was one of nine siblings. On June 12, 1948, she was united in marriage to Dwight Fowler at the Reorganized Latter Day Saints in Knoxville by the Elder Phillip Caswell.

La Von was a gifted organ player and played in the churches they attended. She devoted her life to God and her family.

Her family includes her husband of more than 65 years, Dwight Fowler of Cornelius, four children, Linda (Dan) Parpart of Beaverton, Larry (Carla) Fowler of Hillsboro, Leslie (Louise) Fowler of Hillsboro and Terry Fowler of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Winona Cemetery, Tualatin; Elder Laird Smith officiating.
