Buffy Brown

OTTUMWA – Buffy Jo Brown, 40, of 570 S. Moore St., entered into heaven to be next to God at 12:41 a.m. April 26, 2009, at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

She was born Dec. 3, 1968, in Ottumwa to Richard and Pam Wagner Aalbers. She married Ronnie Brown April 24, 1999.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1987, she played on the Ottumwa High School Softball Team where she was an All-State 3rd Baseman. She also attended Indian Hills Community College.

She worked at home and, for a short time, at Excel.

She attended Ottumwa Baptist Temple.

She spent all of her spare time helping numerous people recovering from the disease of addiction.

Surviving is her husband, Ronnie; a daughter, Danelle (Alex) Aalbers-Amos of Ottumwa; a son, Lukus Brown of Ottumwa; her parents; a grandmother, Geneva Aalbers of Ottumwa; two brothers, Richard Aalbers Jr. and Jamie Aalbers both of Ottumwa and her “grand-dog” Pheobe Jean.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Francis and Marcene Wagner and her grandfather, Marinus “John” Aalbers.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
