Polling locations for July 9 Wapello County recorder vote

OTTUMWA — Voters in Wapello County wishing to cast a ballot in the upcoming special election for Wapello County Recorder should vote at one of the following locations between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. July 9.

• Adams and Polk townships, city of Blakesburg: Blakesburg City Hall, 101 State St.

• Agency and Pleasant townships, city of Agency: Agency Community Center, 102 W. Main St.

• Cass Township, city of Chillicothe: Chillicothe City Hall, 201 Main St.

• Center Township: First Pentecostal Assembly of God Church, 733 Church St.

• Columbia Township, city of Eddyville: Eddyville Public Library, 202 Second St.

• Competine and Highland townships: Highland Center Township Hall, 9906 Highland Center Road

• Dahlonega Township: IHCC-Rosenman Video Conference Training Center, 525 Grandview Ave.

• Green Township: Zion Community Church, 15714 Copperhead Road

• Keokuk Township: Hickory Grove Community Church, 3929 Highway 63.

• Richland Township, city of Kirkville: Kirkville City Hall, 101 W. Main St.

• Washington Township, city of Eldon: Eldon Library Hall, 608 W. Elm St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 1: Penn Ave. Free Methodist Church, 820 E. Pennsylvania Ave.

• Ottumwa Precinct 2: North Court Baptist Church, 1411 N. Court St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 3: Great Prairie AEA 15, 2814 N. Court Road

• Ottumwa Precinct 4: Westgate Towers, 910 W. Second St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 5: Wapello County Courthouse, 101 W. Fourth St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 6: Southoak Towers, 102 W. Finley Ave.

• Ottumwa Precinct 7: Davis Street Christian Church, 202 S. Davis St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 8: Ottumwa Baptist Temple Church, 238 W. Williams St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 9: Bible Baptist Church, 944 W. Williams St.

• Ottumwa Precinct 10: Camelot Towers, 827 Albia Road

There are three candidates vying for the recorder’s post: Lisa Kent, Mary Margaret Riedel-Butler and Betty Stromgren.

Meanwhile, Blakesburg residents will also go to the polls that day to vote for a new council member. There are four candidates: Gary A. Chidester, Ryan Denison, Larry Howe and Grant E. Riedel.
