OTTUMWA — A Texas man was hit with drug charges after officers found 19 pounds marijuana at an Ottumwa home.
At approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, Ottumwa police officers, the Iowa Department of Public Safety's Division of Narcotics Enforcement and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 616 N. Green St.
Officers seized approximately 19 pounds of marijuana, cash and additional marijuana packaging. The investigation revealed that the marijuana had recently been transported to Ottumwa from Texas.
Eduardo Heriberto Castrill, 18, of El Paso, Texas, was charged with possession with the intent to deliver marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, both Class D felonies. He is being held in Wapello County Jail on $5,000 bond.
