McCaffery, Brands to highlight SE I-Club Tailgate May 24

OTTUMWA – Fresh off leading the program to the second most wins in a single season, there's an exciting future in store for Fran McCaffery as head coach of the Iowa men's basketball team.

Part of that future will include stopping to visit with local Hawkeye fans. McCaffery will be one of the featured speakers at the 2013 Southeast Iowa I-Club Tailgate. The third-year men's basketball coach will be joining Iowa head wrestling coach Tom Brands and Greg Davis, offensive coordinator for the Hawkeye football team, at the annual event which will be held on Friday, May 24, inside the Tom Arnold Net Center on the Indian Hills Community College campus.

Emcees for the event will be Gary Dolphin, voice of the Iowa Hawkeys, and Kevin Pink, voice of the Indian Hills Warriors. Other University of Iowa coaches and staff will also be in attendance.

The tailgate extravaganza will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded a 7 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 p.m. with McCaffery, Brands and Davis all featured to speak.

The evening will also feature Herky's Locker Room door prizes and silent auction items. Tickets are available for $10 with a limited amount that will be sold at the door for $15.
