We all smile in the same language and some say that music is the universal language. It’s for certain that there have been many songs written that express the feelings of those who wrote them as well as those who have played and sung them. Therefore, I thought it might be nice to take a stroll down memory lane with some of the popular titles.

You can “Call Me Irresponsible” as “I Left My Heart In San Francisco.” “If I Ruled The World” you would be “Always On My Mind.” Is it my “Imagination” or did we meet “Some Enchanted Evening” “In The Still of The Night?” Or was it in “The Wee Small Hours of the Morning?”

“We Have Only Just Begun” to be “Young At Heart.” I remember “Singing In The Rain” and then those beautiful “Blue Skies” appeared “Somewhere Out There.” But once again clouds rolled in and we had “Stormy Weather.” Those “Unforgettable” “Strangers In The Night” are taking a “Sentimental Journey” “Down By The Old Mill Stream.” “Isn’t It A Pity” that “Day In Day Out” that we “Don’t Get Around Much Any More.”

“It’s Just A Matter of Time” before I’m going to be “On The Street Where You Live” because I plan to be there by “Twilight Time.” “For Sentimental Reasons” I want to remember “The Things We Did Last Summer” because “Those Were The Days.”

“The Way You Look Tonight” “By The Light of the Silvery Moon” only means that “This Could Be The Start of Something Big” but “It Ain’t Necessarily So.” “For All We Know” “Me and My Shadow” could be “Swinging On A Star.” “I Heard It Thru The Grapevine” that “Bells Are Ringing” “Around The World” in the good old “Summertime.”

Some of “My Favorite Things” to do include dancing especially to the “Tennessee Waltz.” When I “Try To Remember” a song “All I Have To Do Is Dream” that “I’ve Heard That Song Before.” “I Believe” that if “I Write the Songs” it will get me “In The Mood” to visit “Blueberry Hill” which to some is “Almost Paradise.”

I “Sincerely” believe that “The Nearness of You” is “Just One of Those Things” that causes me to feel that I’m always “On The Sunny Side of the Street.” Whenever I see “Red Sails In The Sunset” it reminds me of our trip down the “Moon River.” “When You Wish Upon a Star” you begin to understand “What a Wonderful World” we live in. “You Make Me Feel So Young” when you remind me of my “School Days.” “I Guess I’ll Have To Change My Plans” so I can “Save The Best For Last.” “I Believe” that “By The Time I Get To Phoenix” “Only You” will be the person who has thrown “Three Coins in the Fountain” next to where “There’s a Small Hotel.”

Now as this little ditty comes to a close please remember “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree” especially on “A Foggy Day.” Doing this column is “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and it’s “Just One of Those Things” that I enjoy “More Than You Know.”
