ALBIA Three different players had double-doubles as the Eddyville-Blakesburg girls basketball team improved to 7-2 overall, 4-1 in South Central Conference play with a 57-43 win over Albia in action Friday.
Bobbi Bayer had 24 points and 11 rebounds, Marlena Terrell had 12 points and 10 rebounds and Lacey Alexander had 11 points and 12 rebounds for the Rockets, who knocked down a school record 27 of 37 free throws in the contest.
E-Bs defense shut the Lady Dees down, holding Albia scoreless over an eight minute stretch as the Rockets opened up a 16-point lead. Albias Kara Goemaat broke the ice, draining three second-half 3-pointers to pull the Lady Dees to within single digits, but Albia would get no closer than that.
Goemaat finished with 12 points and Reba Summers led Albia with 13.

M-U prevails in overtime
MURRAY Kelsi Guinn hit a key basket to force the game into overtime, then Guinn and Whitney Harris hit a pair of big baskets in the extra period as the Moulton-Udell girls basketball team took a 60-55 Bluegrass Conference win over Murray in action Friday.
The Eagles iced the game at the free thrown line late to improve to 5-3 overall, 3-1 in conference play.
Harris led M-U in scoring with 18 points, while Ginny Gordon had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Shayla Weston had a huge night distributing the ball, as she dished 11 assists. Kaylee Stansberry has 12 points for the Eagles, who will host Albia tonight
