OSKALOOSA Oskaloosa experienced a little hiccup Tuesday, but it recovered for a 7-4 victory over Norwalk in girls tennis action.
The Indians took the court just one day after playing all day in the conference meet. Laura Tucker scored the first win for Oskaloosa with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win in the No. 1 singles.
In the No. 3 singles match, Jennifer Vonk won for the Indians 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-6). Jessica Harwood won her No. 4 singles match for Oskaloosa 6-1, 6-1.
The Indians took control of the dual in the doubles portion. Vonk and Harwood combined for a 6-3, 6-3 victory.
In the No. 3 doubles match, Cassie Abbas and LeAnan White won 7-6 (7-4), 6-2. Kelsie McDowell and Lenka Kopeckova also won their doubles match.
The last victory for Oskaloosa came from the team of Suzy Garcia and Lauren Childs in the No. 5 doubles match.

No. 3 Jennifer Vonk (O) defeated Danielle Hampton 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (10-6) No. 4 Jessica Harwood (O) defeated Taylor Hopkins 6-1, 6-1. No. 5 Kayla Clarkwilt defeated LeAnan White (O) 6-3, 6-4. No. 6 Jessica Burt defeated Cassie Abbas 6-2, 7-5.

Centerville cruises past Clarke
CENTERVILLE The Centerville girls tennis team had little trouble with Clarke Tuesday, winning 8-1.
The victory improved the Redettes record to 6-1 (5-0 in the conference).
Heather Buttel started Centerville off with a 8-1 win in the No. 1 singles match. Allison Berner and Katie Berner also won their matches for the Redettes.
In the No. 4 singles match, Melanie Hermon scored a 8-6 win. Danielle Widmar won her match 8-6 for Centerville.
The Redettes swept the double portion of the dual. Buttel and Allison Berner won their match 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles match.
Katie Berner and Hermon claimed another victory for Centerville. Widmar and Meyers combined for a 8-5 victory for Centerville.
The Redettes are back in action on May 10 at Fairfield in the team regionals.

No. 1 Buttel/A. Berner (C) defeated S. Shields/J. Shields 8-3. No. 2 K. Berner/Harmom (C) defeated Lewin/Berryhill 9-8 (7-4). No. 3 Widmar/Meyer (C) defeated McCann/Weiser 8-5.
Fairfield Maharishi beats Burlington
BURLINGTON The Fairfield Maharishi girls tennis team kept its perfect record intact Tuesday, defeating Burlington 6-3. The victory improved the Pioneers record to 6-0.
Bonnie Carter scored the win in the No. 1 singles match for MSAE 8-3. In the No. 3 singles match, Angela Sickler beat her opponent 8-0.
Mollie Cutler and Leya Alderfer also won their matches for the Pioneers.
In doubles action, Carter and Sheila Higgins won 8-4 for MSAE. The last Pioneer win came from the team of Sickler and Armstrong.

No. 4 Mollie Cutler (MSAE) defeated Emily Peterson 8-3. No. 5 Hannah Smith defeated Holly Armstrong (MSAE) 9-8. No. 6 Leya Alderfer (MSAE) Molly Owensby 8-4.
