Big Reds pound Clarke
OSCEOLA — Senior pitchers Michael Kauzlarich and Jay Schmidt worked solid outings on the mound as the Centerville baseball team took a sweep at Clarke of Osceola in South Central Conference action on Monday.
Centerville, the defending state champions, have been hitting the ball hard as of late and hanging their caps on solid pitching. Kauzlarich pitched a two-hit shutout in a 10-0 opening-game win while Schmidt flirted with a no-hitter in the nightcap, allowing just one hit in a 13-1 win.
