PELLA — The Eddyville-Blakesburg Rockets volleyball season has come to an end. Pella Christian swept E-B by scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-11 in Class 2A Region 8 volleyball Tuesday night.
The Rockets (13-23) battled some sickness in the contest but was still led by Nicole Harnisch, who committed only one error going 13-14 hitting with six kills.
“Any coach dislikes not being able to go into a match knowing their players aren’t feeling well,” said Rockets head coach Gladys Genskow, “but they have to rise above and do the best they can.
The Rockets showed improvement every game throughout the season but was unable to get past Pella Christian and there serving attack.
“Pella Christian served tough in some areas and we struggled to make a good pass” said Genskow. “Our passing kept us from winning tonight.”
