OTTUMWA — Donald Davis, an Indian Hills guard from St. Louis, has been named the winner of the Arnold Black Memorial Scholarship, given each year to a sophomore member of the Warrior basketball team.

The scholarship was established in 1992 to honor Black, a former Ottumwa businessman who was an ardent supporter of Indian Hills basketball. The scholarship is awarded to a player who best demonstrates the strong competitive spirit exemplified by Black and exhibits his love for the game of basketball. The recipient is chosen by the IHCC athletic department and coaching staff.

In winning the scholarship, Davis joins an impressive list of former Indian Hills stars who have won the award, including Terry Black, Chauncey Leslie, Zach Morley and Sean Haluska.
