Up Next for IHCC Basketball

2014 COURTSIDE CLASSIC

Time and Place: Game times are set for 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m tonight and on Saturday at the Hellyer Student Life Center in Ottumwa. Friday's schedule will be ABCD Prep taking on Moberly Area at 4:30 p.m. Indian Hills will then face Indiana Dabney at 7 p.m. On Saturday, ABCD Prep plays Indiana Dabney at 4:30 p.m. and Indian Hills faces Moberly Area at 7 p.m.

Broadcast Info: Both IHCC games will be carried live on KMGO radio (98.7 FM) and on the Internet at www.kmgo.com.

Records: Top-ranked (DI) Indian Hills is 15-0 overall. No. 24 (DI) Moberly Area is 12-3. No records are provided for either Indiana Dabney or ABCD Prep. ABCD Prep lost twice at IHCC's last home tournament, the Hy Vee Classic, on Dec. 13 and 14.

Meet the Lions from the Hoosier State: IHCC's first opponent of 2014, Indiana Dabney, finished 9-19 last season as part of the Christian College National Invitational Tournament. The Lions were next-to-last entering the tournament in most offensive statistics, including averaging just 65.9 points a game last year, but were second as a team in rebounds at 42.1 per game. Indiana Dabney finished seventh in the tournament, losing to tournament champion Oakland City (89-61) and Knoxville College (85-80) before winning 103-87 over Heritage College to end the season behind a 40-point effort from freshman Javan Linson.

Last season vs. Moberly Area: The Grayhounds and Warriors split the season series against each other with both teams winning on their home floors. Two very different IHCC teams faced MACC, however, as a fully-staffed Warrior squad won 94-81 at the Hellyer Center last January before the Grayhounds beat a Warrior squad, 84-64, that was missing five players due to suspension from a postgame brawl last February at Southeastern

Coach Peery says: "It always good to get a break in, but we're looking forward to getting right back to work. We've still got a lot to do and a lot to accomplish this season."
