Grinnell extends Osky's losing streak

OSKALOOSA — Junior Deja Jackson scored 22 points and paced a great night from the field for the Grinnell girls basketball team at Oskaloosa on Tuesday. The Indians fell victim to 11 3-pointers buried by six different Tiger players in a 74-36 Little Hawkeye Conference loss that extends Osky’s losing streak to seven-straight games.

“Grinnell’s a very good team that jumped up on us right away,” Oskaloosa head girls basketball coach Steve Kaisland said. “Overall, it was our highest point total. I’m proud of how the girls came back, especially in the third to win that quarter.”

Alexis Westercamp led the Indians with 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, while Taylor Richardson added seven points and a pair of assists. Oskaloosa (1-7, 0-4) is back in action on the road Friday at Dallas Center-Grimes.
