TONIGHT: After suffering the first on-field loss of the season, Ottumwa (2-2) looks to bounce back tonight as Bulldogs welcome in the Marshalltown Bobcats (0-4) tonight as the Homecoming 2013 oppnent on the opening night of Class 4A, Division 3 play.
WHEN AND WHERE: Kickoff is set for approximately 7:30 p.m. at Schafer Stadium in Ottumwa.

LAST YEAR: Marshalltown beat Ottumwa 49-7 behind Blake Gimbel’s phenominal passing performance. Gimbel passed for four touchdowns and ran for two more, completing 22 of 26 passes for 313 yards.
LAST WEEK: The Bulldogs first loss on the field, 34-7, came at the hands of an undefeated Indianola squad that is now ranked eighth in the state in the Iowa Associated Press prep poll. The Indians started strong at Schafer Stadium, scoring 14 points almost instantly the Indians scored a five-yard Cameron Bunting touchdown to cap the first drive of the night, then scored off a fumble on Ottumwa’s first offensive snap. Marshalltown, meanwhile, also could not stop an unbeaten team from moving to 4-0 last week as Ames, formerly ranked eighth in 4A, used a 42-7 win that featured 330 yards and three touchdowns passing from senior quarterback Sam Straub to move up to fifth in the latest Iowa AP poll.
ALSO TONIGHT: There will be a lot of celebrating even before the final whistle blows at Schafer Stadium tonight. Both celebrations for Homecoming at OHS and the reunion of the 1963 Bulldog state championship team will take place during the contest.
