---- — OSKALOOSA — Back on the course for the first time since competing for the Class 3A state championship last spring, the Centerville boys golf team beat a pair of South Central Conference rivals on Thursday on a damp day at Harvest Point Golf Course. The Big Reds beat Chariton and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, the host school for the triangular, with an overall score of 155.
Former state champion Alex Moorman led the way for the Big Reds with a one-over par round of 36, good enough to beat out Centerville teammate Jacob Hargrave and Chariton's Daric Laing by two shots for meet medalist. Laing's 38 led the Chargers to a team round of 182, good enough for second as a team in the triangular. EBF, led by Jreyton Linderman's round of 50, finished third as team with a score of 210.
Centerville will be back on the course on Monday at Schuyler County in a meet at Lancaster, Mo. EBF will be back on the course Tuesday with Lynnville-Sully for a triangular meet at PCM while Chariton will host another SCC triangular with Albia and Clarke.
