Tri-County falls at home to Iowa Valley in six

---- — THORNBURG – Tri-County’s fortunes could not change for the better on their home diamond Wednesday night in their third-straight South Iowa Cedar League contest in as many nights. Instead, the Trojans gave up eight unearned runs as six errors helped Iowa Valley pull away for a 13-2, six-inning victory in Thornburg.

Josh Edmundson and Tyler Lally each came up with two hits with Edmundson driving in one of two runs in the opening inning as Tri-County answered a three-run first by Iowa Valley. The Tigers kept their 3-2 lead into the third, then scored five runs off Trojan starting pitcher Jake Brumbaugh to open their lead out to 8-2.

Tri-County (4-9, 4-6) is back on the diamond tonight in an SICL matchup on the road at Keota.
