Tri-County comes alive in road win at Keota

---- — KEOTA – Nick Watts was strong at the plate and on the mound, carrying Tri-County to a 17-5 South Iowa Cedar League victory at Keota on Friday. Watts racked up two RBI on three hits for Tri-County, doubling in the fourth inning and singling in the third and sixth.

Watts pitched lights out for Tri-County, holding Keota hitless over an inning of relief with two strikeouts.

Tri-County Trojans pulled out the win thanks to a strong fourth inning, going ahead for good on an RBI single by Austin Blythe to score Watts. Tyler Lally got the win for Tri-County, striking out 11 batters over six innings of work.

Tri-County (5-8, 5-5) heads to the Harmony Tournament today.
