Tri-County falls to Belle Plaine

BELLE PLAINE – Tri-County scattered six hits on Monday, but wasn't able to push enough runs across. The Trojans lost an early 3-1 lead as Belle Plaine scored 13 runs over the final three innings of a 16-5 six-inning South Iowa Cedar League contest on Monday.

Tyler Lally had a double and two hits while Spencer Steinke had a fifth-inning home run. Tyler Striegel, Chase Bryant, Lance Hinschberger and Kaleb Gorsch helped lead Belle Plaine with eight hits and 11 RBI.

Tri-County (5-9, 5-6) is back on the diamond tonight in an SICL matchup at HLV.
