MOULTON — The Moulton-Udell boys basketball game used a 17-0 run to start the game to defeat Wayne 92-71 in Class 1A District 10 action Thursday.

Trey Stansberry paced his team with a team-high 23 points and drilled four of the Eagles eight 3-pointers. M-U’s Kyle Neher poured in 19 points and corralled a team-best 10 rebounds and Eagle Kalen Martsching compiled 16 points, handed out seven assists and recording six steals. In addition, Grey McCoy accumulated 14 points and Quentin Fowler added 12. With the victory, the Eagles avenged a one-point loss they suffered to Wayne in January.

“We were really good early,” M-U coach Brent Martsching said. “[We] got the pace where we wanted it and created turnovers off pressure. The kids really played hard.”

M-U (15-7) plays at Pleasantville next Tuesday in the Class 1A, Region 10 semifinals.
