---- — CENTERVILLE — Coming home for the first game at Lakeview Gymnasium did not completely help cure the early-season offensive struggles for the Centerville girls basketball team. The Redettes opened the game scoring just two points in the first quarter and had only one free throw in the third quarter, helping Fort Madison pull away for a 37-23 win.

Casiddy Schacher led Centerville with nine points in the contest. The Redettes (0-2) host Clarke on Thursday in a South Central Conference opener.
