FAIRFIELD - The Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment girls tennis team bested West Burlington/Notre Dame 6-3 Monday.
In one of the more competitive matches of the night, MSAE's Alina Knight edged Jenna Stewart 6-4, 6-4 in No. 3 singles. Darien Ringold and Courtney Cooper secured victories for West Burlington/Notre Dame in No. 2 and No. 5 singles. But, thanks to dominant victories by Jaqueline Leete, Flower Schreck and Isabel Reed in singles action, the Pioneers still maintained a lead over their opponents. MSAE's teams also claimed two of three victories in doubles' competition. Dia Huggins and Knight were especially dominant, as they handily beat their foes 8-2 in No. 1 doubles.
