No. 3 EBF wins three matches at Central Decatur

LEON — Third-ranked (1A) Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont picked up three dual victories on Tuesday night at Central Decatur. The Rockets remained undefeated as a team, earning victories over Clarke (54-18), Central Decatur (52-24), and Tri-County Montezuma (55-22).

Several Rocket grapplers maintained their perfect records, including second-ranked sophomore Blake Marlof who scored three pins in a total of 5:47 at 132 pounds to move to 6-0. Tucker Black also scored three pins at 145 pounds while fifth-ranked senior Jason Crosby and Chance Wuresta also scored three wins in the quadrangular.

TCM finished the night with a win of their own, besting Clarke 54-18 while losing to Central Decatur 45-30. Travis Lewis (103), Mitch Gibson (138), Colton Maschman (145) and Tyler Foubert (160) all earned a pair of wins for the Trojan grapplers.

TCM (2-1) will join Cardinal at the Lynnville-Sully dual tournament on Saturday while No. 3 (1A) EBF (5-0) will compete with Ottumwa, Albia and Oskaloosa at the Pella Invitational.
