Trojans fall by one to conference opponent Courier sports staff

---- — VICTOR – The Tri-County baseball team couldn't quite muster enough offense to beat South Cedar Conference foe HLV Wednesday, as they fell to the Warriors 6-5.

Tyler Lally took the loss on the mound for the Trojans. He allowed five runs, three of them earned; on five hits while striking out two and issuing two walks in two and two-thirds innings on the hill.

Jake Brumbaugh had a hot night at the plate for the Trojans, going a perfect 2-2 with a double. In addition, Lally helped his own cause by driving in two of Tri-County's runs. Nick Watts accounted for the Trojans only other RBI and Austin Blythe went 2-4.

Tri-County plays host to North Mahaska today in another South Iowa Cedar Conference game.
