Ottumwa golfers named to all-state team

OTTUMWA – Ottumwa girls golfers Whitney Dostal and Darby Patritto were both named to the Class 5A all-state team by the Iowa High School Golf Coach Association. Dostal, a junior for the Bulldogs, was one of the 10 players selected to the 5A first-team coming off her third-place finish and first-team all-tournament selection at the State Meet this spring while Patritto wrapped up her Ottumwa career with a second-team all-state selection for OHS.

“Both golfers played huge roles in the success of Ottumwa High School girls golf this past year,” Ottumwa girls golf coach Steph Mishler said. The Bulldogs finished seventh as a team this year in the 5A state girls golf meet.

Three members of Centerville’s fourth-place 3A state golf squad earned all-state honors, including first-team selections for sophomore Alex Moorman and senior Logan Dabney. Big Red sophomore Blake Dabney joined Oskaloosa senior Clay Tucker on the 3A all-state second team.
