Vintage car show this weekend in Ottumwa

---- — OTTUMWA – The Vintage Cruisers of Southeast Iowa car club will be hosting its 16th Annual Car Show this Saturday at the Bridge View Center parking lot. Registration for the car show is from 8-11 a.m. with show and shine from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Voting will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the awards will be handed out at 3 p.m.

There are 31 classes at the show with each class having a sponsor and nine businesses have stepped up as corporate sponsors. The “Best Of” awards include Truck, Car, Engine, Interior and Paint. The classes range from antique vehicles, street machines, imports and special interest vehicles and the cost to enter is $15.

“We have a class for pretty much everything,” said former Vintage Cruiser President, Bill Allen. “If you have something with wheels, we can fit it into a class.”

Friday night, the car club will host a cruise from 5-8 p.m. at the Jimmy Jones shelter in the Greater Ottumwa Park. Parking for spectators at the car show is available across the street at The Beach.
