OHS Monday golf and track, Tuesday's IHCC softball postponed

OTTUMWA — Another round of storms has caused another round of postponements for local teams this spring sports season. This time, it caused Ottumwa's track and field teams and the Bulldog girls golf team to miss out on competing in central Iowa on Monday.

The Ottumwa boys and girls track team had their scheduled meet at Des Moines North canceled Monday while the Bulldog girls golf team also had their trip to the Ames Invitational called off due storms throughout central Iowa. The storms also forced a second postponement of the Ottumwa boys tennis teams' scheduled CIML Metro Conference opening dual at Des Moines Lincoln, leaving the Bulldogs to open Metro play today against Indianola at home, weather permitting.

The forecast for rain in southern Iowa has already forced the Indian Hills softball team to postpone a rescheduled Region XI doubleheader with Iowa Western for this afternoon. The Warriors will now play the 14th-ranked (DI) Reivers in their final two regular season games on Thursday at 2 p.m.
