Sixth-ranked Rocket spikers roll to 10-0

(Continued)

Jordan Carter had a big overall night for Sigourney, leading the team at the net with 11 kills and three blocks on 25-28 hitting. Carter also was 16-17 serving and had eight of the Savages 19 aces while serving nine consecutive points during the clinching third game.

“I feel like we were a little flat in that first game. I would have liked that one not to have been quite as close,” Sigourney head volleyball coach Jordan Carter said. “We definitely came back in game two and picked up our defense. Once we got our defense picked up, our offense followed right along.”

Sigourney (1-1, 1-0) is back on the court tonight at Pekin.
