---- — INDIAN HILLS BASKETBALL VS. ROCK VALLEY
Time and Place: 7 p.m. tonight at the Hellyer Student Life Center in Ottumwa.
Broadcast Info: The game will be carried live on KMGO radio (98.7 FM) and on the Internet at www.kmgo.com.
Records: Second-ranked Indian Hills is 4-0 overall. Rock Valley is 4-0.
Rockin' and rolling from beyond the arc: Rock Valley has put up 84.8 points per game, with its closest game coming in an 80-62 win at Kishwaukee on Tuesday, thanks in large part to an NJCAA-leading 10.8 made 3-pointers a game this season. Rock Valley has made 43 of 109 attempts from beyond the arc, ranking them fourth-best among NJCAA Division III teams. Leading scorer L.T. Davis (18.2 ppg) averages 2.5 made 3-pointers a game, second to Frank Cimino who averages 10 points and three made 3-pointers a game.
Rockin' and rolling from anywhere on the court: Indian Hills, meanwhile, can seemingly produce points from anywhere on the floor. Through the first four games of the season, IHCC has yet to be held below triple-digits by any opponent. The Warriors as a team are shooting 51.3 percent from the field and are second in the nation averaging 116 points a game so far. Only Temple College's blistering 124-point average through its first five games is higher than the Warriors. That average was up to 132.4 before the Texas school lost its first game of the season at Navarro College 83-82 on Thursday.
Coach Peery says: "I think we still have some things we can work on to clean up. We have to keep cleaning up our turnovers. We can share the ball without turning it over. We've got to really get to where we can get good, clean stops so we can run."
