Ottumwa's perfect record spoiled by Indianola

(Continued)

Unfortunately, the impressive comeback hadn't dampened the Indians spirit. In the seventh inning, Indianola ripped off four runs against Megan Robertson and Mandi Moore and pulled out a one-run victory. Robertson allowed three runs in the inning and Moore yielded the game-winning run.

Huston said Ottumwa's pitching staff surrendered too many hits to the Indian's offense and the Bulldog defense committed too many defensive errors in the games. But, the coach wants his team to move forward to the next game.

"We just have to worry about ourselves and go play," Huston said.

Ottumwa (12-2, 6-2) plays today against Des Moines East in CIML Metro Conference action.
