Hopkins leads Rockets to win over Lady Dees

ALBIA —  Nataliah Hopkins turned in a strong performance on the mound to help Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont defeat rival Albia 7-1 Thursday in South Central Conference action.

"I thought we came out of the box and jumped on them," E-B-F softball coach Tony Fenton said. "I thought we really executed well offensively. I was very pleased with the effort we got tonight."

Paige Shafer went 3-5 at the plate, including a triple, and Tasha Alexander and Shelby Allgood both went 3-for-4 for the Rockets.  Alexander also drove in a team-high three RBI.
