OTTUMWA — OTTUMWA - Due to wet field conditions at Pat Daugherty Field in Centerville, today's baseball doubleheader between the Indian Hills Falcons and fourth-ranked (DI) Iowa Western Reivers has been moved to Ottumwa's Legion Memorial Field. First pitch for today's doubleheader is still set for 4 p.m.
The two teams were originally scheduled to play in Centerville over the weekend before snow and rain late last week forced the four-game series to be pushed back a day to Sunday and Monday. Continuing precepetation kept Daugherty Field from being ready for play on Sunday, however, originally moving the series to start at 4 p.m. today with the final two games to start Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Plans are to play the final doubleheader of the regular season between the two teams tomorrow back at Daugherty Field. Game time is still set for 1 p.m. The Region XI is set to begin on Friday in Muscatine. Iowa Western and Indian Hills are seperated by three games entering today's doubleheader with the Falcons needed to sweep the Reivers to claim the top seed in the tournament.
