Seven players from the Indian Hills Community College men’s soccer team and four from the women’s squad have been named to the All-Region teams.
Sophomores Brady Anderson (Albia) and Rogerio Manes (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) were named to the menís first team. Anderson, a forward, had a team-leading 16 goals, third-highest total in the region, and added three assists. Manes, a defender, had three assists.
Named to the second team was a pair of sophomore midfielders, Bruno Moraes (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Edison Quinarelli (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Moraes scored 11 goals, fifth in the region, and had six assists and Quinarelli produced three goals and seven assists.
Freshman defender/midfielder Jared Truman (Manhattan, Kan.) and sophomore defender Chris Schacher (Centerville) were honorable mention choices.
The other Warrior to receive honorable mention All-Region honors was freshman goalkeeper Andrew Boutott (West Des Moines), whose 104 saves were second in the region.
Sophomore midfielder Ashley Jordan (Vinton) represented IHCC on the womenís All-Region first team. Jordan had four goals and two assists during the 2012 campaign.
Karianne Bolt (Pella), a freshman midfielder, was the Warriors’ second-team pick. She had two goals and two assists. Two players, freshman goalkeeper Ashley Hartnedy (Little Rock, Ark.) and sophomore defender/forward Kaitlan Straub (Marcelline, Mo.), were on the honorable mention list. Hartnedy was first in the region in saves and third in save percentage.
