Warrior soccer squads shut out by Iowa Central

For Siegle, the women’s match was a story of a very frustrating day for his team, one that some member of the team didn’t even bother to be a part of.

“We had players that didn’t show up, didn’t tell us they weren’t coming and they let the entire team down because of that,” Siegle said. “It’s the same problem we’ve had all year. It’s a lack of commitment with people not showing up on time for practice ready to go. I don’t see that fixing itself until we get better players in here that are committed to the team and committed to us getting better.”

Both the IHCC men (2-10, 0-6) and women (1-8, 0-5) face the best team in Region XI with battles against nationally-ranked Iowa Western squads in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. The Warriors then return home for regional doubleheader against Scott, the most winnable game for both IHCC teams.

“We’ve got some immaturity as a team and it drives me crazy. I want kids in this program that wants to be as committed as I am as their coach,” Siegle said.
