Who’s 0 will go tonight: One unbeaten streak will come to an end in this top-10 rematch of last year’s regional championship series. IHCC will be looking to end Iowa Western’s best winning streak to start a season in school history at 20 straight while the Reivers will be looking to hand the Warriors their first loss at the Hellyer Center under second-year head coach Barret Peery. Indian Hills is 31-0 under Peery on their home floor, which the Warriors haven’t played on in 32 days since beating NIACC 128-72 back on Dec. 18.
Blackout at Hellyer: Indian Hills fans are encouraged to wear black to tonight’s game against the Reivers for ‘Blackout’ night. In fact, the next three IHCC games will feature special treats for their fans as Wednesday’s home game with Southeastern will be a ‘Whiteout’ night while the Indian Hills atletic office is provided a bus trip to the Warriors Jan. 26 game at Marshalltown. The bus will leave at 4 p.m. from the Hellyer Center. The cost of the trip is $20 with those fans who signed up in December receiving a $16 refund. The first 29 people who sign up also receive a free sack lunch from Big Apple Bagel.
Coach Peery says: “We know them pretty well and they know us from playing four times last year.”
