OTTUMWA — Envoys Joel and Ramona Arthur are the new faces of the Ottumwa Salvation Army.
The Arthurs have had a variety of duties in more than 20 years with the organization and are currently posted at the Western Division Headquarters in Omaha. Joel is coming off service as the divisional directer of emergency disaster services. Ramona has been serving as divisional volunteer director.
“We are looking forward to getting to know the Ottumwa community,” Joel said. “We’ve served in posts around the Midwest over the years, and we are excited about this new assignment to provide critical human services in southeast Iowa.”
The new envoys are planning their move to Ottumwa at the end of summer and will begin their new roles Sept. 1.
They are succeeding Envoy Beth Woodard, who announced her departure at the end of May.
