OTTUMWA — Tonight’s the night for people in search of their barbecued chicken fix.
The annual Rotary Chicken Dinner is a popular part of Oktoberfest and it runs from 4-7 p.m. at Bridge View Center. The event draws hundreds of people, so traffic around the facility will be crowded. Use patience, though, and a tasty dinner awaits.
Each meal includes a half-chicken, corn, coleslaw, a roll and butter, a drink and ice cream for dessert. A children’s meal is the same, but with a chicken quarter instead of a half.
Still need tickets? You can swing by Bridge View Center Tuesday morning. The front desk has tickets for $10 for adult meals and $8 for children. All money stays in the Ottumwa community.
