OTTUMWA — The First Resources Corp. board of directors has hired a new executive director.
Susan Woodford has a master’s degree in psychology from Walden University. She comes to Iowa with more than 25 years of leadership experience with nonprofit organizations.
Woodford is scheduled to start on March 1st. Most recently, she was executive director of a behavioral health agency in Nassau County, Florida. Currently she is working as a consultant to agencies, state government and communities by providing her expertise in capacity building, strategic planning, grant writing and contract acquisition.
As the new leader for First Resources, she says she is looking forward to bringing her skills of strategic planning, authentic leadership and innovative thinking.
First Resources is a private, non-profit corporation in southeast Iowa. They work with individuals who have specialized needs. They offer a range of programs servicing people with disabilities, children and families in need, drug and alcohol counseling, and mental health services.
