HEDRICK — Four people face charges in connection with a drug investigation in Hedrick.
The investigation culminated in the search fo 106 N. Main St., Apt. B, in Hedrick. The Keokuk County Sheriff’s department and the Southeast Iowa Inter-Agency Drug Task Force found commercially packaged THC, scales, packing materials, marijuana, and multiple guns. The latter included a handgun that had its serial number removed.
Scott Lloyd Strom, 21, and Cheyenne Lee Deutschle, 20, both of 106 N. Main St., Apt. B, Hedrick, face charges of conspiracy to deliver less than 50 kg of marijuana and failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Derrik Leonard Strom, 18, of the same address, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
Jacob Bruce-Robert Keith, 20, 207 W. Third St., Hedrick, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
The conspiracy charge is a Class D felony, as is failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Both carry a possible sentence of up to five years in prison. Possession of a controlled substance is a serious misdemeanor.
All four people were released on bond following their arrests.
