CENTERVILLE — Centerville Daily Iowegian Managing Editor Dan Ehl, 57, was arrested Wednesday night on a charge of operating while intoxicated.

Ehl was driving from his home to a friend’s house on Cave Street in Mystic around 9:30 p.m. when he was pulled over. Iowa State Patrol Trooper Chris Spencer said the reason for the stop was because Ehl was driving without any taillights.

A further investigation by the trooper revealed that Ehl was over the .08 legal alcohol limit and was then arrested. He was released from the Centerville Law Center on Thursday. A court hearing was set for April 30. Centerville Daily Iowegian Publisher Becky Maxwell said Ehl is on leave pending the hearing.
