OTTUMWA — Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting will be a lot shorter than usual, with only two points on the agenda.
The biggest point is in regard to Resolution 63-2019 Funds for secondary roads. County Supervisor Jerry Parker said $150,000 will go to general basic needs for the secondary roads and $262,500 amount for rural services needs.
“We will collect and transfer it where it will be used,” Parker said, “which is to secondary roads. This is important for people in Ottumwa and in towns to help with roads.”
Parker said the transfer will help in providing road maintenance, anywhere from pavement repair to mowing and brush control.
The supervisors meeting is back on schedule for 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
